Madhatter in Washington DC – Great place for happy hour!

Madhatter gets a 5/5 on the Play This Magazine burrito meter

If happy hour is your thing and you live or are visiting Washington DC, this small bar slightly hidden can be your new haven. Their prices are not only modest in comparison to other restaurants in the city, they are just down right cheap! Half price apps the regular cheap American beer and rail drinks – honestly you can’t go wrong here. While they do generally have bar style foods, their apps were really good for the price.

Defeating the PS3 Slim rumors

Sure looks like a PS3 slim ;)

Sure looks like a PS3 slim 😉

Rumors have been circulating for quite some time on the possibility of a PS3 to be released in the coming months. Officially there will be an announcement at GameCom this Tuesday over the long awaited rumor; however, there is a 100 percent notice of a price drop for PS3 consoles. The general rumors and quantity of the current consoles being provided to retailers either are a result of a new PS3 combo pack or the release of the PS3 slim. Either way in just two short days the world shall hopefully see a much more affordable PS3 game console. Full system specs – REAL images and other information will be provided upon receiving it.

At this time it would seem relatively hopeful for a PS3 Slim to be released already; however, a smaller unit could reduce the costs of producing this item. There will surely be a price drop, most likely that of $100 giving a basic console a price of $300 (Don’t forget the wireless headset $50, additional controller $60 and assortment of games). While we would love to see a PS3 hit the market in the second week of September *cough cough* it still may just be rumored.

Thus being said don’t buy a PS3 till after the announcent on Tuesday during the three hour press conference from Sony.

Looks like Sweden -Who generally is early with the games – Has some pre-order action going.

Play This is back in full swing so expect more updates, quite a bit more often. We will also be posting more humors articles that involve ridiculousness that occurs in Washington DC.

Suspected White Supremacist James W. Von Brunn opens fire at DC Holocaust Museum

The red X represents the area I was at the time of the shooting, while heading towards that direction.

Today as I was leaving my job interview, just a block from where I was walking towards the National Mall, an individual well known for conspiracy theories against the Jewish religion opened fire at the Holocaust Museum.

James W. Von Brunn, 88, walked into the Holocaust Museum with a riffle and opened fire on a security guard. Children, tourists and families were all inside and outside of the building when the event occurred. Security was increased all over the city and they closed the museums blocks off immediately. The guard died of his wounds later on and Von Brunn was shot, now in critical condition.

Unfortunately pictures of the surrounding area could not be taken as the security in the area was being very suspicious and I did not want to alarm them by taking pictures.

Various secret service and police escorts were also being rushed out of the area, mostly heading away from the Capitol building.

At this time no other individuals have been reported as harmed, but Von Brunn has been labled as a well known White Supremacist, placed in jail for 6 years for trying to kidnap individuals and noted as saying terrible things about people of the Jewish faith. After firing an estimated five shots the other guards opened fire on Von Brunn.

Steven Tyrone Johns is the security guard who has been murdered.

Play This headquarters has been unpacked and has a few summer flicks to review in the up coming week. As just a quick burst we will be throwing the buritto rating at the bottom of this page for The Hangover, Angels and Demons, X-Men Origins: Wolverine and Drag Me to Hell.

After some brief site seeing around town and recovering from copious amounts of heavy lifting, we managed to get a few flicks in and of course some new game releases. News on the new E3 convention will also be posted this coming week if time allows. It looks like the Wii has some serious competiton with Xbox 360’s project Natal.
