Ads That Suck: Apple’s ‘Top of the Line’

What person on this planet would choose a Mac when Patrick Warburton is selling you a PC. Basically this commercial says that Mac’s never get viruses, which clearly is a lie.  So if you don’t want this voice over celeb to be your salesmen buy this piece of crap that no software runs on. These commercials are still reaching out to people who will never have any use for a Mac. Unless you are editing video, pictures, etc… don’t waste your time.

While the new iPhone 3.0 software may have some major additions, the new 3G S is only mildly appealing in comparison to the Palm Pre. Apple tends to release the update around noon, so those of you who waited till midnight will be holding your breathe.

Apple’s Jobs taking temporary leave

Steve Jobs

Steve Jobs

Apple’s Steve Job has put out an official statement Jan. 14 explaining his temporary leave of absence. The following is the letter provided to the Apple staff:

Apple CEO Steve Jobs today sent the following email to all Apple employees:

Team,

I am sure all of you saw my letter last week sharing something very personal with the Apple community. Unfortunately, the curiosity over my personal health continues to be a distraction not only for me and my family, but everyone else at Apple as well. In addition, during the past week I have learned that my health-related issues are more complex than I originally thought.

In order to take myself out of the limelight and focus on my health, and to allow everyone at Apple to focus on delivering extraordinary products, I have decided to take a medical leave of absence until the end of June.

I have asked Tim Cook to be responsible for Apple’s day to day operations, and I know he and the rest of the executive management team will do a great job. As CEO, I plan to remain involved in major strategic decisions while I am out. Our board of directors fully supports this plan.

I look forward to seeing all of you this summer.

Steve
